i'm one of the poor souls who still has dial up :( but i want to webcam. Is this possible? I doubt my connection can stream video (it can't even stream music) but i'm hoping webcam has some "magic" way to allow dial up users to webcam.

Can I webcam with dial up????????

Of course you can webcam with dial up. This is very useful if you have family, friends, or buisness partners that live far away and you want a more personal conversation. Use Microsoft Netmeeting (which comes pre-installed and is free) to setup a video stream. I believe there are also chat rooms (beware: many adult themed) that you can use your webcam with. However, the picture quality will be terrible and sounds will be choppy, so don't expect much.

No, sorry if you have dial up then you cant have webcam. If you have a labtop try going to the local libary if they have wireless then you may have a fast enough connection. If you dont have a labtop then try switching to a faster internet provider.

You can but the quality will be poor. The display will have delays and possibly look like a series of still photos.
