What kind of Pirate? If you work hard, have good speed, a good glove, a good arm and can hit, then you could be wanted by Major League scouts and possibly become a Pittsburgh Pirate.
If you have a fast ship and a swarthy crew, and have the desire to board and steal goods from merchant ships and cargo vessels, you can be a Pirate of the High Seas (the AAAAArrrrrrrr kind, like Cap'n Jack Sparrow) and be wanted by the Coast Guard and the Navy.
Or, all you need is some music or a NETFLIX account, a stack of blank CDs or DVDs, and some software, and you can make CDs and DVDs for sale, and become a Media Pirate, wanted by the FCC.

Fearless followers would be good too, and on the bright side most countries are already dissarmed by their Dictator, leader or Socialist government, you only have to fear the Coasties.

a boat. guns and ammunition. a rebel attitude. and, more often than not, terrorist links. pirates these days aid terrorists, rob/kill/kidnap yachters, bomb things, aid in illegal immigration, traffic drugs and many more wholesome activities. your best bet is to grow a scruffy beard, get a tan and move to indonesia and hope to be taken aboard. arrrr.
