OK I am white, Irish, Scottish, German, and French. Not that it matters. Just a little back ground to get my point across. My oldest daughter had a child with a man from Sudan, Who happens to be very dark skeined. My Grandson is one of the most beautiful children I have ever seen. Both spiritually and physically. He has the broader nose as well as the kinky hair. He also has the most beautiful brown eyes with long eye lashes that I have ever seen. When he smiles at you you want to weep for joy, that such a special child would grace you with his smile. He at only 4 years old has the most loving and kind heart that I have ever seen. (Example : He has a younger brother that loves to hit and steal his toys. He never complains or hits him back. If fact if said younger brother is upset or crying he is the first to comfort him.) I can not wait to see the wonderful man he will grow up to be. So to answer your question I do not think that Black features are ugly. I have never even before I was graced with such beautiful Grandchildren.

No I think African men are especially attractive. Mmmm Djimon Honsou, I get shivers. I think you are very beautiful too. I am in awe of African women especially from Nigeria, Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia etc. There is an African hair braiding salon near me with all African women and my b/f is NOT allowed in there when I go. The African ladies have such regal features and delicate thin body frames, I get afraid they will steal him away. He loves black women too and says our features are sexy esp our lips.

I honestly don't care whether people in or out of my race think I'm pretty or ugly. This is the way God made be and no one should be made to feel that they are ugly, because you had nothing to do with that. I think people, especially in the modeling industry are starting to get bored with the same look, that's why exotic African and Brazilian models are so sought after now. I think beauty is complex and it comes in all colors.

I often wonder about this myself, I am a Black woman and I think that people are so stuck on the images that we are bombarded with on a daily basis. For some reason most people, including Blacks, have accepted the European standard of beauty. I agree with you about the images on tv, and if you think about it most of the Blacks that go on to be major successes in terms of Hollywood, have light skin, or White features. Don't get me wrong, I think that Beyonce and Tyra and countless others are doing great things but I also think that if they were dark or couldn't "pass" on some level they would have not made it as far as they have.

I'm giving you a star for being so bold as to ask this question.
Yes, I am led to believe that black features are thought to be, well, not ugly, but less attractive than "others". You can tell by looking at the media. Even the black people who are shown in the mainstream media are very light-skinned, have long hair, and other "white" features.
I'd like to say, however, that people just aren't "used to" black features, so they're seen as just "different", not necessarily "unattractive".

I think Black women have very nice features. I love the variation of the skin tones. There are black women that have very dark skin and black women that have very light skin. Both very different and yet both very beautiful. I believe it all comes down to stereo-types. Hispanic women are preseved as brown-skined, round brown-eyed, short, and with long black hair to their knees and that's not the case. Embrace your beauty and show it off the the world. What makes us beautiful is exactly what makes each and every one of us so different.

I could find features on anyone else to be pretty scary. Like freckles, pimples, nose hairs, sun burn, ash. lol, and each race I've come in contact with, either one or the other has that. Dark skin is nothing compared to that. Just because someone is dark, doesn't mean anything to me, they could have the clearest skin, nicest feet, and because they are dark wouldn't bother me at all. Poor hygiene is another story, for anyone.

I wish I knew how to answer this question. But some people just dont want to have anything to do with black people because they think they're dirty and ugly. And some people think they're very violent. Personally I think black people are the same as anyone else just have a slighty different physical appearance but that doesnt bug me at ALL. As a matter of fact all the guys ive dated have been black. im sorry if this didnt answer your question. Goodluck =]]

Samirah you know how I feel about you, but that's another conversation lol. But all women are beautiful I love the beautiful spectrum of shades that women come in. I love the full lips and nose that compliments it, full curly hair when taken care of is lovely on a lot of Black and Hispanic women.
