I would hate it. Especially if all those I loved weren't immortal. I would go insane if I had to watch every generation die.
Plus, I look forward to death.

No thank you. I have been depressed for over 20 years. I have people I know dropping like flies. I figure I have no more than 15 or 20 years left and would gladly leave at any time.
Immortality might be fine if you are young etc, etc. But looking at an eternity in pain like I feel daily just don't sound like any prize I would want to win.

I have pondered that very question. The best I could come up with was....I would not stay married to my husband for 100 years...no matter what!!!! Really, though, I believe it is the knowing your time on earth is limited that makes it such an adventure. Like you say, if you lived forever it would get boring...been then done that have the t-shirt. However, I am not in a hurry to leave. :)

There remains a number of contingent questions or possibilities to consider. Are we immortal in longevity only and are kill-able or are we also indestructible. Is everyone to be immortal in this hypothetical context or only myself.
The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative. Certainly I would have all my senses and of pain and pleasure and of those fear. If one does not become accustomed to fear in this mortal life, how could I become accustomed to it in the immortal life.

Immortality could be a horror if you don't have high morality to go with it. You would be like the ultimate dictator or madman.
...Or imagine getting addicted to a drug or something, and spending eternity chasing after a get high.

Immortality is neither intrinsically good or evil. It is merely a condition, but you will have trouble with immortality to the extent you don't like yourself.

Every person chooses their feelings, once you truly realize this the worst torture cannot effect you, and the slightest depression can never touch you.

you've seen too many vampire movies.
there is never such a thing as 'too much time' - besides, isn't the world constantly changing? therefore, isn't it impossible to ever see and do everything?

It's a good thing when you are in Heaven with God forever.
It's not a good thing when you are burning in the lake of fire forever.
