If MJ played straight threw his entire career, I think the Bulls would of beaten the Rockets.

Hoopfan,
that's not a legit point and you know better then that..lol. Why do you make me do this all the time? In 95 MJ came back and played the last 17 games after missing the entire 94 season, he was out of shape, rusty, and wasn't playing like he was in 93. If he's played a entire season in 95, the out come would of been different. You can't just come at the end of the season messing with the flow of the team & expect success...and you know it!

He was too rusty. That was the only good game he had.....and he was not in shape.

an 8 peat for sure

the rockets couldn't handle the bulls no way no how

MJ retiring boosted Hakeem's legacy though

without MJ retiring Hakeem would have no rings and most likely no awards during those years which he "took over"

He'd be in the same class as the Barkleys and Malones

The rockets couldn't beat the bulls before MJ retired and they couldn't beat him afterwards even with adding Barkley to the mix

Obviously not, because Jordan DID return in 1995, and couldn't get the Bulls past the second round of the playoffs, losing to Orlando in six.

Seeing as how Orlando got SWEPT by Houston, and the Bulls lost to Orlando, I think its safe to say that, no, the Bulls would have lost to the Rockets in 95.

He wasn't too" rusty "when he torched poor John Starks for 55 points in his famous "double nickel" game on national tv in his 4th or 5th game back WAS HE??

......he would have been the freshest player on the team, not having to play an entire grueling NBA season. He just couldn't get it done....on THE BIG STAGE.

As a Bulls fan since the days of Reggie Theus... I'd love to say Jordan and Pippen would have beaten the Rockets twice, but it's a really hard sell. Here's why...

1994 Olajuwon went for 26.9 ppg 50.0% fg AGAINST EWING
1995 he went for 32.8 ppg AGAINST O'NEAL

I remember watching him and he was unstoppable. The guy upstairs said it best... who on the Bulls would have guarded him?

I say the Bulls win one and lose one to the Rockets with Jordan

If not the Rockets, some other team from the West. Basically, yes. They would have 8 peated.

Who knows how many they could have won if Krause could have kept everyone happy?

no way.

Players like Kukoc and especially Pippen would never develop his game being the main man

Also Jordan would most likely to be injury prone and has a much shorter career if he play non stop as proven in many many sports you need break to prolong your career

Jordan would still be a one dimension player in terms of scoring+defence

Hmmm, I'd like to think the Rockets would have won one anyway.

Who would've guarded Hakeem?

If Bill Russell left college early, would he have won ANOTHER 3 OR 4 TITLES? LOL
