Help Me identify what kind of ring this is.?

Made of pewter and has a copper slide through it. Top is etched with initials for months of year. Inside is etched with nos.1 thru 12. Also had a Roman leaf design on top.

Just take it to a jeweler who deals in antiques, they should be able to tell you.
