hmmm. there are such things as typos! i'm more than capable of constructing a grammatically correct english sentence. in fact i've just got a distinction in an OU level 3 english language course. i don't use capitals when i'm typing e-mails, or on here, as a matter of policy. or as an aesthetic decision. or because i'm lazy. or maybe my shift key has stopped working. or maybe it's because i just plain don't. lol
and the question *does no-one know?* is a different question from *does anyone know?* if i ask *does anyone know* i am asking someone to tell me how to use google... whereas i was really asking a rhetorical question.

careful lady.. the "it's good to have people's opinions" and "go away" and other such overwhelmingly witty intellectualisms brigade will have your neck for even suggesting that Y/A might entail a lot of pointlessness and leave those of us with a cerebral cortex that is wrinkly enough to actually contain neural pathways incredulous at the sheer emptiness of so many dare i call them... minds... as if the OPINION of how many grammes are in half an ounce were of some deeply enlightening value... I respect you for one reason and one reason only: the answer to your question can't be found on google (unless you count the fact that this page will come up at some point...)

Depending on the subject matter of the question Google is not always helpful. A query may bring up pages that are totally unrelated to what the questioner wanted. Asking on this forum where there may be someone who knows the answer/correct answer/best website to look at is reasonable.
Having said that, people asking things like "who wrote such-and-such a book" is ridiculous when there are so many online bookstores to check for information.

You may know how to use Google, but your certainly do not know how to structure a sentence.
does no-one on here know how to use google?
the number of times i answer a qustions by googling!
does, should start with a capital D, Does. There is no such word as no-one, it should be anyone, or anybody. Google should start with a capital letter.
'The number of time' is a new sentence therefore should start with a capital letter. Whenever you refer to yourself you use a capital I not i, and you never answer a questions, you answer a question or you answer questions.
Your question should read something like.
Does anybody using this forum know how to use Google?
I have answered numerous questions in the past by using Google to find the necessary answers.
English is a fantastic language, use it well and it will reward you. Use it incorrectly and you will be known for eternity as 'Thicky Mcthicky from Thicktown'
Oh my God, I've just read your response, and I now weep for the standards being applied by the Open University. Are you sure you didn’t take English as a foreign language?
Firstly only a poor workman blames their tools. Not using capital letters as a matter of policy is ludicrous, it would be similar to me saying, I drive on the wrong side of the road as a matter of policy, if it's wrong, it's wrong no personal policy will correct that.
While your reply regarding the restructuring of your question just shows that you could not be more incorrect, if you took an OU course in being wrong and was awarded a Degree first class with honours.
Unless of course your just doing this as a matter of policy?
I am only covering these points as the OU seem to have missed them from your Further Education.
In regards to typo's and broken shift keys etc, proof read before posting helps, and you could always use Google to look up how to turn the on-screen keyboard on, with which you could use your mouse to choose the keys that do not work on your keyboard. Such as the caps lock.
Regards.

Most of the responses I give now are to "what is your opinion" type questions. I used to always answer actual fact based questions... but I got tired of simply going to Wikipedia and typing in the subject asked.
Google & Wikipedia could probably take care of over 50% of the questions on Y!A.
