The cent you're taking approximately is an extremely uncommon 1937 Canadian cent that has a dot on it. There are in basic terms 5 prevalent and the dot under the date meant it replace into struck in 1937. A 1932 Canadian cent had a mintage of 21,000,000 so it is not scarce and is well worth .25 to $3 in circulated grades.

1909 s vdb Lincoln penny
S means San Fancisco mint, and it is below the date.
vdb is the initials of the artist and is at the bottom of the reverse side of the coin, just below where the two stalks of wheat come together.
It's the only US coin with artist's initials, I think. Should be worth a few hundred dollars. DON'T CLEAN OR POLISH IT, THIS MAKES IT WORTH LESS.
Even if you don't have this one, it may be worth some money.

A few months ago I heard on the news that a 1914 D was worth quite a bit...So go through all your pennies and see..

Its a 1943 wheat penny ( it has to be copper) .
that's when copper was recalled to be used for
bombs. nine have claimed but there is still one missing. not a steel penny!!!
