Good old honey (a natural antibiotic) and lemon juice (a natural antiseptic) will sooth and heal your throat when mixed in equal parts (1 teaspoon honey and 1 of lemon juice) in a warm tea. You can drink as much as you like and not have to worry about over medicating.

hi,
Try some home remedies to get quick relief from your sore throat problem. They are effective as well as free from any side effects.
* Gargle with fenugreek seeds. For this, put two tablespoons of fenugreek seeds in a litre of cold water and allowed to simmer for half an hour over a low flame. This should then be allowed to cool to a bearable temperature, strained, and then used entirely as a gargle.
* You can also drink water boiled with basil leaves in curing sore throat.
* Bishop's weed is also valuable in treating sore throat problems. An infusion of the seeds mixed with common salt can be used beneficially as a gargle in an acute condition caused by a cold.
Hope this may help you!!

Gargle with salt water....over and over and over again. Eventually it goes away. You can also try a numbing spray for sore throats or cough candies. Usually they are only temporary remedies though. You may have to wait for it to run it's course. See the link below for another question in yahoo answers that I have answered previously. Good luck!

It's probably because of a cold, and colds are notorious for being incurable. Though some things might help a LITTLE, you can't really heal it quickly yourself, just relieve the symptoms. You can try something like Chloraseptic, it actually makes your throat numb so you can't feel any pain!

I like using a tea tree oil water gargle.
take 8 OZs water and 10-12 drops of tea tree oil shake well, and gargle this and spit the water and tea tree oil water out.
Other good gargles would be warm salt water, or warm sage tea.
