I saw some advantages. If you really cares and still love each other all you need to do is ask your partner to have them renewed before it expires.

It save a lot of time and money for all legal suits for divorce and legal separation.

Additional revenue on the part of the government

It will end to the sufferings of one of the partners in the event that there's a conjugal abuses.

Whatever... Why even get married then if it is a contract that has to be renewed. I would not want to get married if i had to live by a stupid contract. It would not end sufferings because they would make or force the person to resign it. Not a good idea at all. Marriage is supposed to be til death do you part NOT till the contract is up and someone dont want it any more do you part. This is sick and twisted and just not right. It makes a joke of what marriage is supposed to be all about.

I think this is a fantastic idea, I myself often wondered why, if every other, legal contract is renewable why not marriage. This would be great. Now if you rush into it you can get out in just a few short years. This will give people an opportunity to evaluate their marriages, renew if it is something they both want and will cut back on divorce.

It isn't a driver's license or fishing permit, it is supposed to be thought out seriously.
If it were that easy, many marriages would be one sided and nobody would be secure with the tought that their loved one might only be there for a short while!
I wouldn't ever buy into that.
Try living together for a while if you believe in that, some women won't accept that option either, at least the serious minded thinking types won't.

Hmmm.... interesting concept; but I would not call it marriage. Marriage is a vow that two people (man and woman) give to each other. It is a commitment for life.

I would call it a partnership contract. It may be good and practical option for Hollywood celebs.

I totally agree with Lady Hewitt. Marriage is something special. Not something to be taken lightly. This just makes a mockery of something that should be sacred and special.
