1000 Oceans--Tori Amos
I Cried for You--Katie Melua
Wind Beneath My Wings---any version
The Beekeeper--Tori Amos
Marianne--Tori Amos
Hey Jupiter--Tori Amos
I Will Remember You--Sarah McLachlan
Angel--Sarah McLachlan
How Can I Help You (To Say Goodbye)--Patty Loveless
One Sweet Day--Mariah Carey and Boys 2 Men
Who You'd Be Today--Kenny Chesney
Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)--Green Day
Everybody Hurts--REM
Goodbye My Friend--Linda Ronstadt
Candle In The Wind--Elton John
To Where You Are--Josh Groban
Jumper--Third Eye Blind
Stars--Les Miserables Soundtrack

Many of these are songs that I listen to when I am missing someone, like my son, who died last year. I am so sorry for your loss. If there were songs that the two of you particularly liked, listen to those, remember your friend. It's OK to cry and to hurt. I'll keep you in my thoughts.

I am SO SORRY! There was a 16 old girl around here that just died of a heroin overdose, I know what you are feeling and going through. SORRY, as for songs to listen to...Chris Tomlin-How Can I Keep From Singing, How Great is Our God, Rejoice, all sorts, everything he does is uplifting...Joy Williams has a really great song- We, and Superchick has two good ones- Heroes, and We Live. Good luck, and I am so sorry!

Gloomy Sunday by Billie Holiday

The Last Morning by Dr. Hook

I'm really sorry about your loss...when my dad died (I was 14 at the time), I listened to The Last Morning over and over again and a few other songs that reminded me of him. It's hard to lose somebody, and I can't say I understand how you are feeling because we all feel differently even in similar situations. Like I said before, I am sorry.

--I have just changed my answer after hearing this on the radio just now - it's from 1972 originally, but I think this is a better choice than the one I suggested earlier: best of luck to you

Artist: Johnny Nash Lyrics
Song: I Can See Clearly Now Lyrics

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.

I think I can make it now, the pain is gone
All of the bad feelings have disappeared
Here is the rainbow I’ve been prayin for
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.

Look all around, there’s nothin but blue skies
Look straight ahead, nothin but blue skies

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.
