if you flushed a live fish down the toilet??

They usually die within moments due to temperature shock. If they don't die from that, the sewer pipe or septic tank that they hit seconds later kill them due to the highly toxic environment. This stuff about them suffering for hours is an urban legend, can' happen.

I would say 99% of the time they die within minutes. But there was an article in my local paper a while back about goldfish living in the sewer ponds. The area around the sewer ponds is fenced off so the onlt way they could figure those goldfish got there was they were flushed. I don't know what happened to them, but I would imagine they did not last long swimming around in toxic filth.

It be killed by the fish hitting into pipes, and ect...
but if it was a big enough fish, it could get stuck..
my little cousin tried it once, not a very good idea...

This is illegal. If it somehow was able to survive this horrible fate, it will screw up the environment it ends up in, as it is not native.
