im afraid of castor oil, heard it smells bad, and taste just as rechid, so what else other then herbs can i try?

does pinnapple really help soften the cervix? because i ate a WHOLE one to myself last night, had a HUGE craving for it!!!

I am also 38 weeks pregnant, due March 12th. My belly button still hasn't popped either. I have a really deep innie though. I don't even think babe has dropped yet. But, apparently for some women, things happen so last minute so it's not a true indication of when you'll deliver. This is my first, so no idea of what to expect. I have read that castor oil can be dangerous for babe as it can cause distress. Apparently pineapple works but you need to eat 7 whole ones...so you're 1/7th there. If you really want to soften the cervix, have sex. I have been taking raspberry leaf tea--it apparently doesn't induce labour but can make contractions more effective once labour starts, reduce labour pain, and can shorten labour all together. I hear that walking a lot is also a safe way to get things going. There are a ton of other suggestions, a lot are not proven to be safe. You've made it this far! I feel for you girl since I am in the same boat. But we have to be patient as babe will only come when he/she is ready no matter how hard you try to nudge him along.

My belly button never did pop out.
I had a crystal attunement and later went into labor.
Labor should start soon, if it doesn't try sex. When the baby drops into position it will feel like you are in an elevator going down fast. Labor shouldn't be to far behind if you are this close.

Congratulations, get ready for the most fantastic ride of your life.
My belly button only poped out a bit and I tried everything from sex to spicy food and my little girl was still over a week late. Don't worry about bringing your labour on enjoy your last few nights sleep, relax and go and do something just for you eg. pedicure. Your baby will arrive when he/she is ready to arrive. I personly started getting what felt like period pain before all the Fun?!?! started, was looking to see my belly drop etc but it didn't happen. Best wishes
