I know this person, and he insists that he loves me but I dont believe him! He keeps asking me what he needs to do to prove that he isnt lieing, but I dont know what to tell him back! please help me!

I think you are afraid of getting hurt. There is probably nothing he can do that will prove it to you, you just have to give him a chance. If you love him, then give him a chance. If you don't love him, then it shouldn't matter anyways.

First off if you arent sure that someone that says they love you isnt telling you the truth then that relationship is doomed from the beginning . First thing you have to have in any relationship is trust and you have to trust that a person is being totally honest with you . Dont mistrust until someone shows you that they cant be trusted to be truthful. The first thing to prove love is trusting them in the first place. And like I said at the beginning of this answer if you're wanting him to prove he loves you then you dont trust him and dont need to be in a relationship with him anyways.

If your instincts tell you he's lying, you could be right. Evaluate what you know about this person - is he a sleaze? Has he had many girlfriends, does he go through them quickly? How well do you know him? Ultimately, if you don't have feelings for him, it doesn't really matter. If he's hassling you, saying he loves you, and pressuring you to respond, then he probably doesn't if he's knowingly making you feel so uncomfortable. Otherwise, he could be insane, lol. If later you believe he is genuine, but you still don't like him, thank him and treat him with respect - but don't just go out with him for the hell of it - take it from Perri the idiot.

Love comes from the heart and it is unfair for someone to have to prove their love. People are so wrapped up in material things, that some people go broke trying to prove what is in the heart. If he tells you he loves you then the only way you can measure his sincerity is by how he treats you. Does he respect you? Does he go out of his way to ensure you're happy? Does he do kind little things just to brighten your day? If so, then quit making him grovel or you will surely loose him to exhaustion.

well...I got a friend who insists he likes my friend and i don't believe him,
here's some tips to see if he or she is lying
first of all....when someone likes you they tend to do something for you or something like that. But is it too force or is it sooo nice its so obvious its fake??!!
Is he willing to talk to you regardless who you're friends are? and is he willing to be seen with you in public? i know about being shy but is he sort of hesitant or not willing to tell who he's dating?
and if he's willing to tell his friends, is he just using the attention though? if its a little bragging that's ok but if he does it a lot and well if he rather please the crowd than you its fake!
Got a friend (guy) who kissed a girl because other people were watching.
that's all the tips I can give you from experience i have other ideas but i don't know if it would work so i prefer not to say them incase its disaster

I think the question is, why don't you believe him and what would you expect him to do, walk on hot coals? jump off a bridge?
I suggest you TRUST him and see where your relationship goes. Forget proving love, how can you? it will just happen if it's meant to be, if you are in love you will know....

Does it really matter? Come on. You obviously do not love him, so just tell him that it doesn't matter if he thinks he loves you or not. You may ask how I know you don't love him - its obvious because you think he is a liar. And if you loved him, you would believe him.

well actions speek louder than words dose he show it in his actions do you think he would die for you or do you think he would run if you think he would die for you then he probley love you dose he do everything to make your life alittle easier dose he pressure you to do things you dont want to do if he dose thats not love love is someone standing with you not behind you or infront of you but with you threw thick and thinn no matter what comes your way do you think he would be there for you

He needs to earn your trust. That happens over time by his actions. If hes too impatient to wait until he proves himself to you....Tell him to move along.
