You should really check with your doctor about that. He could only be able to take certain types.

I don't think any formula is easy to digest for a newborn baby, but you may try Nestle Good Start. Always talk to your doctor first before starting your baby on a new formula.

Breastmilk will be the easiest to digest. All formulas are pretty much really hard on babies digestive tract.
Like the PP said, relactating is a very viable option.

Go to your local WIC (Women's, Infant's and Children's) office, or your doctor.
Even as specialist in this area, I can tell you that you have not given enough details to get a good answer. There are several reason for formula being "harder to digest." There are also several health issues that mimic this and have nothing to do with formula.
WIC is free, and will help you! Don't take any advice you get on here, as without further information NO ONE can give you a good answer, and it is your child's health at risk here!
Congratulations on your new little blessing, and on seeking help for him!

My daughter has had alot of digestion problems too. I have her on Good Start Soy. Of course, check with your Dr., but the Good Start is already partially broken down, so it is easier on babies' tummies. I have her on the soy version because she was also having a hard time with cow's milk. She also breast feeds, so I had to stop drinking milk too. We tried all the brands, and this is the best.

Good Start.I've had my own children,my sister's children ,etc etc,all end up on this as it seems to be sooo much easier to digest.Just easier on their system in general.Definitely double check w/your dr.in case of allergies, special needs...,Similac is just rough.Don't know why!Just going by experience. Also, remember when you change formulas you may want to do it gradually depending on your baby, and their body may have to adjust a bit to it.Good luck!

I have heard Carnation Good Start is the best. My daughter had problems with Simalac. They then tried the soy and the gas, constipation, vomiting continued but the gas was worse. He put her on nutramagin(sp) and then she was fine. She was lactose intolerant till she was 2 1/2. Good Luck. Talk to your doctor they can help.

Here is an article about different formulas written by a doctor:

However it isn't too late to start breastfeeding, starting any time up to four months has a good chance of success.

I would talk to your doctor, but my baby only did well on the Similac Alimentum.
Here's a great parenting site you may want to check out:

I found Nestle Good Start was the best. My son had difficulties with the enfamil and we put him on that and he never had a problem again. My stepdaughter was the same way.
