Very interesting question. its easy to measure its impact before

Lokking at financial procedures during mercantilism or before, in old Venice within XIII century or Some Catholic groups in early X century (cruzades) - prety interesting also within the Burgos in Medieval Germany.

Even History of Economy talks about new techniques, about Thomas Maltus and David Ricardo but nothing clear about bank and its influence during this controversial period (Begin of the End)
