My teacher marks extra hard on me.
Last term I thought I'd get strait A's, because
I work very hard to get good grades, but I didn't.
What do I do?

First of all, trust your teacher. A good teacher should be trying to help you, not be out to get you. This teacher may be a more diffcult grader than your other teacher(s). Talk to him/her, and find out what it is you could do differently to get better grades. Also, ask how you're doing throughout the term, so how you do at the end isn't a surprise. Find out what percentage of your grade things are worth (homework, papers, participation), and find out what things are worth the most; work the hardest on those.

What makes you think your teacher marks 'extra hard' on. you? A question is either right or wrong, so there isn't an inbetween for any of the math and science answers. English can be subjective, but if you think you are not being given the credit you deserve, ask the teacher how you can improve your work and your grades. Don't go with a chip on your shoulder and start whining about her marking you extra hard, because that's nonsense. Go and ask what you can do to make your work better. Then do it.

You're pretty stuck on yourself, aren't you? What makes you think that your teacher spends her time thinking of ways to make you work harder? Chances are good that she grades you the same as any other student, but your work is not as good as it should be.

As for what you should do, I suggest you ask your teacher how your work could be better and then (GASP!), listen to her.

Ask to speak to your teacher after school or during lunch (at her convenience) and politely ask her why you got the grades you got and what you do this term to ensure that you get As.

Ask your teacher why. Ask her what you can do to raise your grade.
