I know this is a long shot but since December (about a week before my period) I've been tired, moody, gassy, sore back/breasts, slowly yet steadily gaining weight in the abdomen even though my eating and exersizing have stayed the same. These feelings have been constant since then. I've been getting my period, but ever since december it has been lighter than normal and irregular( always a 32 day cycle, but recently 36 and 40 day cycles). I've taken a few hpt's and have taken a urine test from the doctor, but they all are negative. Instead, I was told to get bloodwork for hypothyroidism, which came up negative. Does it seem as though I could actually be pg or do you know of what else could be causing this?

A number of things can cause those same symptoms including depression, cyst, ulcers, blood sugar just to name a few. Keep following up with your doctor. Hopefully they can find the cause soon.

Hey,
If you've gotten your period every month since december then you should be fine. When my cousin was pregnant, she had her period for two months, then got a test, came up positive so she was pregnant. But the cycles are normal, even if they are irregular. If your gaining weight on your stomach, then you are. But if the tests are saying your not pregnant then your not. Its psychological, it might be hard to believe but if you stress about it, and your thinking it, then it may appear so cause your convincing yourself you are. Just stop thinking you are, your tired and sore but every woman gets like that before, after, and during their period. I hope this helps.

exact thing happened to me!! funnier and strange thing is it even happened in december... my point for telling you this is because 12 days ago i had surgery for endometrioma and an ovarian cyst: i had no idea i had either until i had a pelvic ultra sound done.... this is something i think you should definetly get checked... especially since you have the symptoms. does your lower abdomin hurt at times? or ovaries? sometimes neither of those two hurt and just your lowr back does due to the endometrioma:look it up and check if you might have the symptoms... have u had a pap smear?
best of luck

If u r wanting to become pregnant, sometimes our minds can convince our bodies that we could be and have all the signs and symptoms of pregnancy.
I would ask a doctor if this could be the issue. Its not uncommon when women want a child really badly.

It seems to me you could still be pregnant. A friend of mine felt she was pregnant but all tests-blood and urine, came back negative. She finally demanded an ultrasound and was indeed pregnant. It's rare but can happen.

Go to an endocrinologist be check for hypothyroidism. It maybe you have Hashimoto Disease which most family doctors are not qualified to determine.

doesn't sound like your pg if everything keeps coming up negative. how old are you? i have noticed the older i get the worse my periods/symptoms get. my mom had the same thing happen w/ her. get on birth control - not only will it regulate your periods, but make them more tolerable and give you clearer skin!

your situation requires a doctor's opinion, more precisely a gynecologist.
I think it's the best advice you'll get here.
