I love that song, but I just can't understand the very beginnning with the weird, backwards sounding words and odd quacking (...?)
So, iss everyone else as clueless as I am, or am I alone in the dark?

Before the actual verse (the verse being 'when they all come crashing down midflight...'); within the first 6 seconds of the song.

The Only One was originally called Tuna Afternoon. If you listen very closely you can her Amy sing, "On a tuna afternoon." It was called that because Amy made tuna casserole when she wrote the song. I thought it was interesting!

It kind of sounds like Amy is singing goofy opera or something with an accordian in the background, and then it sounds like a duck is quacking, it's pretty weird. I also think it's kind of confusing and weird, when I first heard that song I thought there was a duck outside my window or something, but then I started the song over and found that it was in fact in the song... haha.

It's
"When they all come crashing down midflight, you know you're not the only one. When they're so alone they find a back door out of life, you know you're not the only one."
