Okay, I know this question is stupid but it's just one of those things that you wonder about. What does the hospital do if there is a girl in a coma or something, and she gets her period?? I know it's gross and I don't know why I am wondering about it...lol.

I guess they would just put a towel under her or something and wipe her clean at the end of the day. I also wonder how they give people in comas showers and stuff.

At the hospital where I worked, we would put adult diapers on all of the coma patients and check them every 2 hrs for "accidents". They would also have a special pad underneath them to help stop anything from leaking onto the bed.

Ya... Maybe the body shuts down her cycle because honestly what good is a period if you are in a coma...the main purpose of your period is so that you can have kids and I dont think someone in a coma is very likely to get pregnant

well what do you think they do if you go poop? they probably just put a pad or tampon or something in you. they also give you baths so I hope if I ever have a coma that my nurse wont be a man!

I think the dr can give some kind of med to prevent period in certain situations.

Just like any other person they do get their periods. The nurses will just put a pad on them.

im pretty sure they check on you like everyday so they would notice and a nurse or something would clean the girl up

It is just delt with like any orther medical issue, the same as is she had to go to the bathrrom.

thats actually a really good question!!! i was wondering one like it i was wondering what happens if a preagnant girls water breaks in the pool and she has no pain how could she tell?!?!?
