Black magick and sorcery have in recent times been said to be on the same terms but no they werent always so.

They are not the same thing ! sorcery simply means manipulating your environment with spells to get intentions and needs/wants delivered but some sorcieres take more than they need for the wrong reasons AKA greed.

then that becomes their addiction to "black magick":

Sorcery is "the belief in magical spells that harness occult forces or evil spirits to produce unnatural effects in the world". So yes, it is associated with black magic.

Yes, sorcery is associated with the devil as is black magic. However, there really is no thing as black or white magic. Magic is your life energy your will power and your intent. If you try to use magic to curse someone then well the magic's not the evil thing the person using it is.

If you believe in a devil, then yes, all magic, whether it be witchcraft, ceremonial, or sorcery [which is just a term about practicing magic] is from the devil.

good thing I'm no Christian.

Not always. Sorcery is a term usually used for a "magician" who is independent of any teachings. Kind of like a "natural witch". They get their knowledge direct (from god, nature, the universe).

Magick is not assosiated with the devil in any way shape or form. In order for something to be associated with the devil you first have to believe in him and in Christ. Since Pagans or wiccans do not believe in either. Black magick is intended to harm innocents or take revenge on people.
