I would have to say after much thought
MEET JOE BLACK
where a wealthy man is about to die and before he does death (played by brad Pitt) wants to see what life is like and the man takes him into his life as a friend and death goes every where with him. It may sound like a comedy and there are some parts that are funny but it really tells us how we are to enjoy life not take it for granted and live as best as we can to love others and receive love back.
A Must See

I know it sounds ridiculous, but I love "ARTHUR" and the reason is, no matter how depressed I am or what is going wrong that day; if I put this in the VCR and just listen to the opening music credits it makes me smile; I just love this movie.
I have gone thru 4 VCRs of this movie and am trying to find it on DVD ... :-)
probably a dumb answer but it sure is my favorite of all time.

there are just so many to choose from but I think that the worldwide concensus is that "Casablanca" and "the day the earth stood still" are two of the most perfectly done and best movies of all times.
