I believe this is when someone has unrealistic ideas. Like, for example, lets say someone wants to be a movie star really bad, and they start believing that they ARE famous, or something like that, or they believe that the little "extra" part they are doing is actually a "starring" roll, or something. Does that make sense? I hope that helps.

delusions of granduer.... you know what a delusion is right? well, break up the phrase: delusion (an idea or way of thinking that is not considered to be 'normal') now, take granduer. the root of this word is 'grand' meaning over the top, large, extraordinary, etc. so a delusion of granduer means an idea or way of thinking that is over the top. an example would be if you believed that Christ is teaching you the Hebrew language while He visits your shower.

Delusions of grandeur are false fixed beliefs of grandiose or exorbitant detail.
Example; a psychotic is under the delusion that he is the King of Spain, or that he is a rock star.

delusion is an abnormal belief. delusions of grandeur are seen typically in schizophrenia. it means the person has false belief that he/ she is someone very important like the president/ king of some country.
it is often accompanied by delusions of persecution where the person believes he or she is being chased/ watched/ persecuted by spies/ aliens etc.

It is where someone thinks they are great (or at least more than they really are). They really belive it so much to a point where they go slightly crazy and are slightly delusional.
