I used to like Cruise when I was a kid, when he was in the The OUtsiders..people often forget he was in that film, its never mentioned.
Its a great book and film.
Cruise seems to be the same character in all his films..his romance and comedy are almost all the same and his drama rolls are all the same, just different settings.
Johnny D , he's versatile...

Johnny Depp, and I will comment no more on Tom Cruise except for the fact that I'd like to say, no comment. Come on. Johnny Depp is versatile and can shift into any given character, the way he plays into his character has you salivating, and no, I don't mean he's hot. Well, he is, but that's not the only thing that captures your heart in his movies. He makes his movies, movies, he really does and it is truly, unbelievably brilliant how he works and showbiz has been a longtime success for him, not effort, but success with a capital S!

Johnny is better because he takes on different roles but If Tom Cruise would take on different roles instead of playing the same person over and over again he would be almost as good as Depp.
