What do I do to get past the idiocy of someone who has minimal impulse control?

If a grown man thinks that he doesn't have to answer to anyone, what as a female can I do to get him to understand that a little class is in order in certain public forums?

Depends alot on the deepth of your relationship with him. Judging by the description of the individual I'd have to say he most likly doesn't have too many close relationships to begin with. And that your relationship with him is not much different. With that said the best way to change anyone is to convence them that you have a way that can accomplish their goal better. Most likly thou his goal is to protect his ego and your going to have hell helping him bring down enough to be able to relate to him that all he really is doing is hurting himself. Good luck most people love that mentality because its great at letting an individual pretend not to care. And for you to get him to show his repect for social interaction without getting his ego boost from not caring is not going to be easy, besides most people socialize that way anyways. Your going to have even more heck because thats a teenage mentality and for him to be a grown man feeling that way means there is alot more going on then just a person needing to be more tastful in certian situations. Like any problem in any relationship communcation is the only cure. Its also the only way your going to know if its a waste of your time. Some people just don't want you to reach them or help them and you'll know because the conversation well go pretty stangant. Good Luck.
