Your tongue feels different from anywhere else. Personally, if you've done your lip it should be a piece of cake for you.

How they do it, is that they make you stick your tongue out, they clamp it down, sterilize the area, then jab a large (but sharp!) needle through your tongue.

Make sure you go to a good piercing specialist though, because if they miss your tongue and hit a vital spot, it can bleed like hell and be verrrrry painful.

If you can handle drinking soup for the next couple of weeks until it heals, and kind of feeling like your tongue is swollen in your mouth, you should be fine.

I'd also be careful about where they put the piercing, you don't want it clanking against your teeth 24/7 when you talk...

Any piercing is going to harm. How lots relies upon on the place it is pierced and how vast the piercing is. Piercing the tongue pierces a muscle, which has many nerves in it. which will sting as though a bee or wasp have been given into your mouth. it is going to in all probability impact your braces, rather whilst your tongue brushes or pushes against your the teeth. I strongly recommend chatting with your dentist and orthodontist approximately that.
