Being at college, I've become significantly more aware of how short I am! I'm 19, 5'6" and Korean, 170 pounds. If you are a girl, would you even consider dating someone who is my height? I'm decent at sports and height's never been a problem for me in that area, but I feel like I'm looked down upon or something. It hurts my confidence :(

Al Pacino is only 5 foot 6. Women love him. There are plenty of nice looking women out there also who are shorter than you are.

Don't worry about it! There are plenty of girls who are shorter then you that you will be alright with, but normally, if you find a decent girl, height shouldnt be an issue. Your height is absolutly fine, and don't pretend it's not! People will like you for the good on your inside, not by how tall you are or how much you weigh. Keep your chin up and remember that you were made to be the height you are for a reason, and that your height doesn't define who you are! Hope I helped :)

Yeah, well, you'll only be considered short at that height in certain countries. If you go to certain Asian countries or Spain for instance, that would actually be closer to an average height for a man. So, if you feel short, you could always move.

When I went to Spain with friends, one friend of mine at 5'10" actually got comments about him being tall... and then I was super tall at 6'0". I fealt like I towered over all the Spanish men...

You shouldn't focus on your height.. Focus on things you can do or things you're good at.. With girls, the most important thing is confidence.. If you walk up to a girl and you already have feelings of doubt and failure then you have NO CHANCE.. Be confident in yourself and believe that you can do whatever you want to.. Most women say that personality or the "inside" of a person is more important than outward appearance..

You know it's what inside that counts. You don't need height. Some of the most assertive visible people I know are much shorter than you. So go out and get 'em. You're way too young to be worrying about things like this.

You're taller than most girls, even when they wear high heel shoes. Many girls consider shorter men anyhow, look at Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes. Character is more important than physical build, just take care of yourself because good health is important to attract girls too (you don't have to be buff, I mean good hygeine and healthy habits in general). Also, some guys are too tall for some guys (I dated a guy that was almost a foot taller than me once and it was a bit akward). No worries, you're just right for plenty of girls!

Hi, To me your not to short. I am only 5' 1 and 3 quarters of an inch. Your a giant compared to me. I really don't think your college friends are looking down on you. It bothers you that your not taller. Don't worry things are going to be fine for you. A Friend.

You just haven't met the right girl yet! Sweet and honest guy like yourself is very hard to find. What does it matter if you were 6 foot tall and rude or a liar! No you're not being looked down, you just didn't meet the right girl yet who is going to love you for who you really are. I myself looked for honest and fun guy to be with and that way found my husband. No he is not a model but very sweet and caring and fun to be with which is what counts.I wouldn't want to be with 6 foot tall chater and liar.So don't worry, from the girls perspective, you are not looked down, but haven't met the right girl yet.....but you will....and for your other question: yes, I would consider dating someone your hight if I hadn't been married.Chin up, you rock!
Look at Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, just one of gazillion exemples.

Hey bro, 5'6" is normal for Asians, I guess...plus you don't have to worry, I'm 6'2" and girls always called me Statue of Liberty. My point is, being tall is not the main factor here, it's all about confidence and personality.

:)

I prefer guys between 5'2" and 5'8" so yes...
I am 5'5" and I like someone close to my height - it's easier on the neck

that being said if someone was spectacular I don't think height matters..
