If someone is dying in the hospital, sometimes they can be in great pain for a long time as they feel the life within their body slowly leave a little at a time. The hospitals can hook these people up to machines that can keep them alive for a few more weeks of suffering. This is immoral however it is not illegal. No matter how much pain and suffering these procedures cause, theres no law against it.

Absolutely; in fact many things are made legal (prostitution, homosexual marriage, etc.) by people who don't seem to have a moral compass. Immorality has more to do with what actually IS right and wrong where legality deals more with what the government dictates is right and wrong based on what they can gain the most popularity and money from.

Totally possible. Lots of stuff that is immoral is legal, like selling cigarettes, which kill people. Some stuff is moral but it is illegal, too.
