Sorry but I have to be honest, and it sounds too masculine for me.

i am not crazy over the name. the name roy isn't very popular for a male and definitely rarely used for a female. it is a very harsh name, and difficult to say, in my opinion.

i know that you are trying to incorporate roy after the father; however, can you use Roylinn as the middle name?

Or maybe use something similiar to represent him....if his name is Roy name her Joy or Raye...

You could even give her two middle names so that her name is something like: Riley Opal Yvette so that the initials spell Roy. You could also use Riley Olivia Yasmine.

Good Luck. SD

If that name sings to you, then so be it. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But since your asking in a public forum I assume you realize the possibility for a blunt answer. That name made me picture a red neck, construction working, trailer-park living, Miller Light swillin' lesbian with a mullet. Oh yeah. Wearing a red plaid flannel shirt. And work boots.

i don't like it cuz it sounds like u wanted a boy named roy but since ur having a girl you needed to make it feminine so u added a linn to it. def a no go. if u do choose that name spell it like roilynn cuz then her friends could call her roi and it would look better than roy.

My name! My name isn't very popular so maybe you can name you little girl Briana. and thats how you spell it. That would mean so much to me if you did that because no one has the same name as me well they do but its not spelled the same! :-) Congrats and Good Luck!!!!!!

Honestly I find it a bit masculine & Im pretty sure as she gets older she will get called Roy for short.
Hows about Rylee?
All in all this is your decision so whatever you chose will be great.

It sounds too much like Roland. However, it would probably grow on me in someone in my immediate world named their daughter that.
