I am located at about 33 degrees latitude in Southeastern U.S. Also, this object appears about 7:30 P.M., and has been appearing for the past few nights. It passes through the sky fairly rapidly moving positions within a few minutes, as I tried looking at it through a telescope and with binoculars.

many here stated Venus, but you mentioned it moves rapidly, moving positions within minutes?
in that case it might be a satelite.

My God. people grow up, raise a family, get a good job, and one day they discover Venus.

The thing is the 3rd brightest object in the sky after the sun and moon. It is visible early evening or early morning, most of the time, and is usually about 10 times brighter than the brightest stars.

What an ugly world we live in when people can't see the glory of the sky most of the time.

The other sad thing is that the asker talks about the motion of the object as if it is something unusual. It will be the same motion that every other object is doing in the sky in response to the turning of the Earth.

Why do you think the sun passes across the sky from East to West every day?

It's Venus. If your telescope is decent, you should be able to make out its current phase.
