This is hysterical, since I just answered the question "What the heck is George Bush's plan to get OUT of IRAQ?" & quoted top U.S. military officer General Pace: "Some of the materials used in the devices were made in Iran..That does not translate that the Iranian government clearly knows or is conplicit." I guess Pace is just an idiot, huh. The nuclear scare re Iran is exactly the same as the "weapons of mass destruction" that never existed, in order to INVADE Iraq. If there's anyone credible, it's the military who tell us deploying more troops is a mistake. Iran has every right to develop nuclear energy, & for that matter, how come only the "good guys" can have nuclear weapons? That's like the neighborhood getting together & saying so & so is BAD, so they can't have any guns & we've gotta get 'em, but it's okay if WE do. What a bunch of hypocritcal garbage. LEAVE IRAN ALONE. Sometimes I wonder if paranoia isn't FUN for some people. Yes, I clicked the link. Just select whatever appears to confirm your preconception, & have a good day while you can.

Stop threatening them . . . it only stirs up their defensiveness and nationistic fervor. The truth is they are MUCH less a threat to us than the Soviet Union was at the height of the Cold War. We could destroy them several times over. (But to what end?) Ahmenijad gets too much mileage out of "standing up" to us and his people don't get rid of him for his abyssmal economic policy as a result. If he has to deal with actually governing (instead of bluster with the US), he'll be voted out of office. The funny thing is, when their neighbors in the region - like Pakistan, India and Israel - have nukes (and nuclear power), who are we to say they cannot have nuclear power? Who appointed us world police?

Really, we can do nothing that we have not already tried except put more pressure on them to stop. Russia & China are supporting them in their attempt to creat nuclear weapons, don't know why, other than to irritate us.
