Hardly anyone knows this, but there was this guy in Mexico, or maybe Costa Rica, named Carlos Hydrogeno. One day he was at home, minding his own business (of course!), and he accidentally discovered hydrogen. I forget how, exactly. Anyway, that's how hydrogen got its name! Cool, hun?

nobody founded hydrogen. someone just decribed the element and called it hydrogen.

T. Von Hohenheim was the first to describe it somewhat even though he didn't know it was a new element.
