the rock band?

They are possibly the most influential band in the 90's. Granted they did rip their sound out of the Seattle grunge seen (mainly the Pixies), but none the less they were amazing. I wish they were still around today, that way we wouldn't have Dave Grohl looking like a tool fronting for the Foo Fighters. I'm a big fan on Nirvana, I'm only 24, and still I am realizing how much influence they had on music today.

they were groundbreaking in their own way. Definitely good bang your head music. Dave Grohl doesnt get enough credit for being a great drummer. I liked them a lot, but its hard to tell if Cobains death made them seem even better than they actually were to me, kind of like Jim morrison or Janis Joplin. After they died, for a while i thought they were better than they actually were, because they"died so young"

I don't know much about them, but I use to love the song "Smells like teen spirit".
