use one of the grasses to get epona. jump over the fence north of Kakiro Villige. ride north into castle town if you are a human. if you are a wolf use your senses to find a digging spot near the gates and get to the other side of the gate.

In the Wii version you just...
follow the map and go back to the castle. Then go to Telma's bar and watch the long cutscene.
