DUH, he's a big purple four-year-old that appeals to the artistic nature of children to coerce them into thinking about McDonald's food. He is not an actual, identifiable creature, hun. If you'd like to know where the idea came from, you'll have to do a mad search for the person or group of people who conceptualized the "fun" McDonald's characters. They have changed over time and I'm sure they came at Different times as well. Look at Ronald McDonald...he has changed the most over the years compared to all other charactters. His costume used to be a bunch of empty food wrappers.

He;s the big fury blob portrayed as ronald McDonald's best friend ad typically is seen in pictures with Ronald McDonalds. the "fury blob" is supposedly a dinosaur or monster or something. Don't question it. Just look at the genius who created it.
