Yes and no: the film looks well made with excellent actors, but I'm afraid it could be a bit of a travesty of the Jane I think I know. It might spoil my idea of her and of course I already know the ending. However I expect I shall go, I won't be able to resist!
("There's something about Jane"... named my daughter Emma and she's turned out a lot like the Austen heroine, just by the by)

I was at an advance screening about 2 months ago and really enjoyed it! I was with some people who knew nothing about Austen's life and thought that there would be a cheerful ending though. Anne Hathaway was really good as was James McEvoy-you should def go and see it!!

I didn't know anything about this film until I saw a trailer earlier ... now I can't wait!!!
James McAvoy looked really impressive and I agree that although it would have been nice to have a British actress playing Jane, i'm sure (as usual) they chose an American to sell the film easier in the States.

I saw it advertised on the tube, yea i'm really excited, i think Anne wil be brilliant, she seemss to be doing really well. shes come a long way from princess diaries!

I wish they let an unknown British actress play Jane.
But it looks ok.
I have to find a way to get all my firneds to watch it with me lol...
