Tell them, specifically, in very simple terms. THere are some great books out there that are animated. Hit a bookstore and find one that will help you out. My girls were asking at 7 and I told them straight up. Wasn't easy and wasn't fun but it was time to tell them because they were asking and I wanted them to hear it from me, not a friend or a book.

Tell them as much as a seven year old would understand. Seven is a bit to young to be explaining sex to in full detail. Tell him/her just enough to satisfy their curiousity without getting to graphic.

I had that talk already with my kids and was open and honest about it.

I was delighted with the response that I got.

Yuck! I'm never going to do that.
