Pros: You can create the exact same organism genetically. This could be really useful in medical tests, as the control and experimental groups could have the exact same characteristics. Plus there could be agricultural benefits- clone your best milk cow, clone especially productive beef cattle, etc.

Cons: besides all of the moral objections that can be raised on the issue, sexual reproduction exists for a reason. The recombination made possible by sex allows for more rapid adaptation. If all individuals are produced by cloning, it will be a lot harder for natural selection to act and for populations to evolve. Most dominantly clonal lineages have a "sex" life cycle every few life cycles for this reason--recombination allows rapid adaptation.

i really dont know what it could be used for. if u ever saw star wars episode two. they made an army. i doubt that could be done im just saying i could be used for stupid things. like making workers, and stuff. and thats simply wrong.

as for stem cell research im for. it is possible to find cures for diseases that many people suffer from daily
