Early on they were enslaving white people.. But white people would escape and blend into society and disappear. They then enslaved the American Indians and they would escape and disappear into the wilderness. They knew the land and where to go.

Mia.. LOL... That is a hoot... I've never heard so much Cr@* in my life... lmao

Throughout history there have been plenty of white slaves. Scottish people where made to be slaves to the English. Even when two Scottish people got married it was the right of an English soldier to take her on her wedding night. Have you never heard of the "white slave trade?" North African Pirates abducted and enslaved more than 1 million Europeans between 1530 and 1780. There are many examples in Europe of white slaves its very easy to find just google white slaves, its not rocket science.

History does not revolve around America..........There is a big world out there.

Black people were made slaves because white people had weapons more powerful than the that of the Africans, end of story. How else could they succeed? Think about it. America is the leading nation simply because of it's military power. The real question is why did God give them that power. If caucasians decided today to enslave African Americans all over again. What could stop them? Hummmmm. Just about every white male i know owns more than 5 guns.

First, the word slave comes from "Slav" or Slavic which is a group of people from Eastern Europe who were used as slaves.

When the New World was settled, all this land was used for farming and free labor was needed. Some white slaves were brought in from Europe, but the climate was too hot here. Still in the search for the much needed workers, the native americans were used, but they got sick easily. However, tribes in Africa who were at war were capturing those of opposing tribes and selling them to slave traders. These slaves were used to warmer climates and having to be physically active most of the day. It just sort of happened. 90% of the African Slaves went to the Carribean, Central and South America. 10% came to the United States.
Unfortunately for the black race, they were at the wrong place at the wrong time. No man has the right to own another man.
But that's the true story.

There were white slaves in America in the 1600s; they were called "Indentured Servants." They were apparently poor people who gave up their freedom for a chance to go to the New World. I think they could eventually earn their freedom. Native Americans were also used as slaves by Whites. By about 1750 the use of white indentured servants and Native American slaves ended and only black slaves were used. I'm not sure why, but it apparently had something to do with the belief that blacks or Africans were inferior to Whites; and that blacks were considered stronger or better slaves than Native Americans.

In the U.S. white people were slaves and indentured servants, and in some cases were treated horribly. Women were raped and abused incurring debts to support their children and making their period of servitude longer. But nothing that was done to white indentured servants was like the brutality that was committed on African slaves. Also, the other thing about white slaves is that they could easily escape and blend in another place since they were white among other whites. The distinction for African slaves was that they didn't have that option in a strange land until two hundred and fifty years after the start of slavery in the states.

Actually, the slave trade was alive and well for caucasians as well as Africans - it happens that the spread of the British Empire in the couple hundred years leading up to the colonization of the Americas helped diminish, but certainly not eliminate, the popular use of white slaves.

every race had been enslaved some time or another.. now for the africans, some of their own kind helped the slave trade to be the biggest there was because the whites gave them stuff they wanted like guns etc. but that was back then, it was sad, but other races were slaves too like the chinese, indians, just that they weren't plentiful and hardworking like the africans.

I do not know why people keep on about slavery it ended over 160 years ago.So drop it already. Actually if you look at it we done them a favor. They were catching diseases from monkeys, running around naked with 14 kids, starving to death. We gave them a ride on a nice boat feed and clothed them.Gave them a place to stay and even a job. But, they were to lazy too work so the war started which put an end to slavery.Oh yeah I am irish and Irish at one time were slaves but I do not go around complaining about it.

Where do you think the word "slave" comes from? SLAV!!

Slavs were White people enslaved by the Romans. The difference is that they had enough courage and pride to rise against it, not not stay slaves for 400 years, hoping that their masters would free them.
