There is a famous saying: "Be careful what you think because your thoughts will become words - be careful what you think and say, for they will become actions". Very similar to your quote. Your quote means that whatever you write is your thought process, therefore who you are, because you can only write from your own schemata (the sum of all your knowledge)

To me it means that the person who is writing is so tuned in to what they are writing (like when your writing in your journal), that they can no longer distinguish between the reality of their words on paper and how immersed they are into what they are writing and what is going on around them.
I may not have explained it well, hope you understand what I'm trying to say.

I think it means that what words are in your head are you, they control you and what you do.
