It's fine to delete cookies, and temporary internet files. Just be careful. If you don't know exactly what it is, don't delete it. The best suggestion is to go in through your Contol Panel to Add/Remove programs and figure out what you no longer need. If you just start deleting files without know what they belong to, you may end up disabling something you really need or wiping out your hard drive.

Yes When on Internet explorer go to tools internet options. You can delete cookies,temp files and history with no problems.

but if u delete all ur cookies u will have to sign in each time u visit ur favorite websites ... to me its better to use an antispyware app to remove the bad cookies and keep the rest ... maybe empty them once every month or two ...
