it dependz on da warranty and i dont think they will change da colors

No, but they will fix the problem. Too many people would be breaking thier hinges to get thier DS replaced when they damaged them in some other way. For more information, check with Nintendo directly.

If it is under a year old, they MIGHT replace the whole system, but but you will have to ship it back to there North American service depot (at YOUR expense). They generally will NOT replace with a different color. :)
