I feel like the Raiders haven't given him a shot to play yet. He played in one game a couple of years ago, and almost won the game with a late 4th quarter drive. That was his second season in the league, so he has even matured a little bit.

At Washington, he was a standout player. The Raiders drafted him in the second round also, so they took him knowing what they got. Before the draft, the Raiders should see how good he really is, because with their quarterback situation, anybody can start.

The Raiders have given every opportunity Marquis Tui to play but he failed miserably. When Gannon was injured for the season, he had several starts He either got one td or none and a bunch of picks in each game. He will be a free agent and will soon not have a roster spot in the nfl.

hmm 200 yards passing and rushing in 1 college football game so there was potential there but no, the raiders never did give him a legit chance even with gannon's injury i don't think they prepared marquis well enough to start but now there's really no excuse (well the o line is the excuse) since hes been in the L so long .

He is given an opportunity every day to show the coaches his skills and understanding of the game. So far he hasnt proven that he is as good as Walter or Brooks or else he would be the one starting. Spots are earned (unless you are a top pick making huge money, then they just want to see the investment even if it sucks). He needs to do the things in practice to convince the coaching staff he deserves a shot, he was a 2nd rounder so they really want him to step up and earn a chance.

I agree. When they Raiders picked him up I saw him play in the preseason and thought he could be a good succesor to Rich Gannon. But now they have forgotten about him I guess. He has asked to be released so maybe he will find a home somewhere else.

Honestly with the way Brooks and Walter played, I doubt he would have been any worse. When the season was lost they should have used it as a chance to evaluate the talent on the team.

The problem is that Tui has had the chances and has not had the skills to take advantage of them.
