If you have been there before, call the place you stayed and tell them you are a past visitor. They will give great rates to get you back. If you stayed somewhere else call the place you want to stay and tell them you want to stay there since the place you stayed is not where you want to stay now. They will bargain with you for your stay there. Go here www.excalibur.com and check the calender, I have stayed here for $39 a night on specials on the site. It is on the strip and very nice. Call them and ask for special rates since you are new to them and want to try them out.

People are giving you some good tips. Here's another: go to hotel websites and sign up online for their player's club, if possible. This puts you on their mailing and email list and they'll send you notices of specials. Also try to limit your play to those casinos where you want discount rooms in the future, so that player's club points will accumulate. (Points can expire after 1 or 2 years, please note.)

stay at a hotel off the strip. lots of nice ones around the way that won't cost you your left arm and leg. when you're living it up and partying like it's 1999, you're rarely in your room, anyway! so much fun...you can walk EVERYWHERE or you can get all-day bus passes on the cheap that will take you up and down the strip all day long. i envy you. i effing love vegas. be sure to take advantage of the aladdin eat-til-your-pants-bust buffet. your dollors are like rubber in that place! stretchy-stretchy!

if your more interested in the rates than the hotel quality, sign up for a time share tour. they will pay atleast one night hotel, possibly two, and cannot require you to purchase anything.

sometimes you can go to the hotel's individual websites and see if they are running any specials...
by the way, the cheapest rates are Sunday through Thursday...
otherwise, check with the Auto Club or your rewards programs through any credit cards you may have...
