I can't get beyond the long walk, is there a specific pattern you need to go in to get the appropriate Ding?

Sorry folks! It's Super Mario Bros Nintendo DS version. Given that I found the page talking about this game, I automatically though people will know what I'm talking about. My Bad. Thanks for responding though, much appreciation. This last bit of the game is driving me nuts, as well as trying to get to levels 4+7. I'm trying to kill the boss as mini mario but I keep missing. I get some positive dings during the long walk at the end of level 8 , but then I seem to blow it. Any help would be appreciated, i'm actually dreaming about it and I'm forty?????

Am, it would probably help if you told us what the game is?
Aside from that, try emailing the Boss to arrange a meeting that way. They're usually just big softies under their over the top angry exteriors anyway.
