About 70% of Australians are of British ancestry, similar statistics in New Zea land and in Canada it is about 40%of the population is of British ancestry, so there are other countries that the British are going to, or are in, and there is a large British community in France.
Why are people leaving this country in such large numbers? because of this socialist government who puts foreigners before its own people. Tony Blair is making out that the Eastern Europeans are doing jobs that the British don't want to do, Rubbish there are Eastern Europeans working in my local Lloyd's bank. British children are near the bottom of the scale on which is the worst developed country to bring up children, considering we have the highest number of teenage pregnancies in Europe, that in its self should be an indication of how bad our education system is. We have the fourth largest economy in the world and the second strongest after Germany in Europe.
It is time to complain to the Government, because enough is enough. I have an M.A and a degree and it has got me nowhere. Blair is all for children going to university, but it no good in having a degree if you can't do a thing with it. What this country should be doing is educating people in skills, which are marketable and will give them a job afterwards. Blair wants to stay part of Europe but it really doesn't do the British any good, it is the Eastern Europeans who benefit from us, we don't benefit from them at all. Eastern Europeans get paid 4-5 times more in the UK than what they would in their own country and learn a very useful language and what do they give us, nothing.
There was a time in the 1970s and 1980s when this country was a great country to live in and the government looked after the citizens of this country, over the years this place has got worse and worse and I want to leave this country because this government has ruined it.
Well what can one expect, if the deputy head ( John Prescott) is a fat, ugly womaniser.

People are leaving and people are arriving - its always happened. The UK has been made up of a mixture of peoples as far back in history as you can go!
I travel all over the world with my job and get to some great places. I wont bore you with a list but I have been lucky enough to go to just about everywhere of any size. But everywhere has its problems and faults and everywhere has people leaving and arriving, its the 'grass is always greener on the other side' thing!
One thing is for sure is that although I love some of the places I've been there is nowhere I would rather live than her in the UK.
We have our ups and downs but we enjoy freedom that others can only dream about, even compared to many other 'free' and democratic places.

People are leaving not because of a few immigrants but because of thousands of immigrants, schools, doctors and many other services cannot handle the volume of people who come to the U.K., that's not the only reason but speak to the man on the street and ask for 5 reasons they would leave this country and i guarantee that immigration will be in the top 3 answers.
I'm not a racist I've got friends from many ethnic backgrounds I'm just a realist.

I saw this coming a long time ago and left England in 1992. I have lived happily in Ireland ever since.
People leave because your government shoot themselves and their people in the foot at every given opportunity. They react to every noisy minority and are affraid of every PC media article.
The fact that these account for about 5% of the populous doesn't seem to register with them and they gleefully ignore the real will of the people. Mainly because you don't vote the idiots out. So blame yourselves
You will be a forgotten race in 100 years

I'm in the early stages of moving abroad. Its got nothing to do with immigration. Simple reasoning.
Direct tax - I earn a lot but don't keep enough
Cost of living - Brown's stealth taxes on everything
Lack of help - I was injured while in the army and I got no help from the government, had to find my own way/
Sun - I'm bored of surfing in the rain
Shelia's - Nicer where I'm going. Can you guess where it is yet?

Because they mistakenly believe that life will be better in the new country. But there's no guarantee. In fact emigrants will have to cope with a foreign culture, xenophobia in the new country, loss of pension rights and possible loss of health benefits.
Couple that with a loss of friends and family, and only the brave or foolish would go. It would be better to try and improve one's lot in this country and help make it a better place.

i live in Australia, and my family migrated here over 40 years ago, people then as now are simply looking for a lifestyle that better suits there needs, i cant believe that people leave their family and friends and country of birth simply based on a percieved immigration problem, they leave for work opportunities , better weather and lifestyle and a multitide of other personal needs and wants. there are social problems everywhere, migrating because you think they dont exist elsewhere is very naive
