You can add a few vintage pieces to you "modern" clothes. Check out a local thrift store for good deals or try vintage shops. Thrift stores will be more work, you'll have to dig to find cute items, in your size and in good condtion. However, the price is usually far cheaper than the average vintage clothing specialty shop.
Look for things like cardigans with beads, flowers, decorative buttons. Blazers and vests are another good way to add in some personality and flair. Be sure you check out the accessories too!

I don't know who Vanessa Hudgens is but you can check out old life magazines if they go back past 30 years. What era do you seem to connect with the most?
