I only have friends that are girls. Most of them hang out w/ other girls and the others have boy friends. I really want to make a friend that is a boy but how? I really don't know what to say. I don't want anything wierd.........i really need something to say. I'm not usually shy in making friends but with a boy...kind of. Please give me something to say and PLEASE SKIP the introduction like "hi im..." Just say he's my friend already. but what do i talk about with him?

When I was in school, junior or high school I had no idea what so ever to talk to a girl about so it was very awkward. I had absolutley nothing in common with them. I did guy things sports out doors stuff. I had a mom and a sister but as far as talking to girls, I used to think what the hell do they do or even think about that I could possibly converse about. This was back in the 60s and 70s before the internet or even cable tv. I had some girls that were friends but over all it was like we might as well have spoken a different language. It was not until I got out of school that I really enjoyed being with and conversing with the opposite sex. I wish I had advice for you but I think I felt the same way that you do just the opposite side of the coin.

Hi,

It is as simple as talking to girls. Just be yourself and forget who the other person is. Talk about hobbies, ways to have fun and hang out together. Ask about likes and dislikes or your interests. Relax and try to make friends with the other person instead of thinking it is some special or different situation. Hope this helps. Remember to just be yourself. Good luck!

Well trust me im a guy and to bu honest i think that if you just try to find some thing that you have in common and then talk about movies or videogames,or sports and stuff like that if i had a friend that was a girl it would be really cool if we talked about stuff i like and stuff she liked and if you find something that ofends him just say sorry and that you didnt know. just tell him your heart but try not to tell him everything all at once or you'll run out of things to talk about.

It was just the opposite for me. I couldn't make friends with girls,
and I was so scared, I asked my Mom what to do. I'll pass her
advice on to you (use it in reverse). Stop the person you want to
talk to, ask them if they could give you two minutes. During those
two minutes, try to find out what hobbies he/she enjoys, or what
books he/she likes to read, or his/her favorite colors. Be sure to
thank him/her for their time, then say, "Hey, I'll talk to ya later,
OK?" Then calmly walk away with your information. The next time you see that person, you'll have something to talk about.

Friendships just happen. You can't just force yourself to make friends cause that'll just be awkward.
