My friend had mices in their house which had babies. They are really new born, they haven't even opened thier eyes yet, no fur, and are still really pink. I'm keeping them warm, but I'm trying to feed them KMR milk.

The thing is when can they start drinking milk? It seems like right now they can't, their mouth is open a little but won't drink milk. I'm scared they might starve to death. Please help me.

I love animals thats why I took them in, when my friend was going to throw them away, since they are stray rats.

one thing you dont need to worrying so much about how to take care of them but if you want to feed the babbies mices i would go to the store like the pet shop and look for a sets of different sizes of milk bottles they can be small or tinies plastic bottles that only use for new borns animals like kittens or puppies and you should also get the right plastic can of milk power that you can mix with baby milk and feed them with it . you should always check what bottles you should buy to feed the mices cause not all of them are use for same pets. if you needed some help from the pets department then you should find some one who does work at the store . the babies mices arent already to feed their self you need to feed them instead . when you hold them you should genlty hold them up side down on youre hand not too tight . well first thing also if youre planning to keep them as pets i will get them baby shots from the veterinary clinic first so that they can t spread any dieases and rabies to any other animals and also human wont get ill.

right now they need to be eating from their mother since anything that we feed them won't have the nutrients that they need, and their mouths are too small too feed them with anythinng other than a seringe, so unless your friend will let you "barrow"the mother for about two weeks {that's how long they need to feed from their mom} then your pretty much S.O.L.

if you can't get them to eat get them to a vet or pet store that may have an adoptive mother.

i don't mean to sound mean but they will probably die. we had one and could not get it to eat either. you could call a vet and ask them for advice but you should not get too hopeful.
