I am 34 weeks and I only have a couple on my left boob. I use cocoa butter everyday and every now and then add a little oil to my bath. Also, whenever I get itchy I put some lotion on and I drink a ton of water. I know we all look for that miracle cure and preventor for stretch marks, but I have heard it depends more on how you gain weight and genetics. If you grow at a steady rate, like I did, you are less likely to get them as opposed to popping out all at once very suddenly. Good luck to you and I hope you are lucky in that department.

I'm on 36 weeks in my second pregnancy and I did nothing to prevent stretch marks. I just think it's how your skin is. I am also 24 and drink water on a regular basis. Maybe that helped. I'm not sure. I was pregnant thru summer the first time and went swimming often. Now I'm pregnant thru winter and thought I would get stretch marks due to the dry air, but I didn't.

I don't think there is anything you can do to prevent stretch marks, eating a healthy diet, staying hydrated and trying to have a more gradual weight gain is the only advise I can give. I know tiny size 1, ladies that have gained 70 lbs that have not got any stretch marks, (my sister is one of them) and other who have. Your either lucky or your not, only time will tell. good luck

I used "Palmers Cocoa Butter and Vitamin E" formula for strech marks. It prevents them and reduces any you may already have. I used it since I found out I was pregnant and I don't have any stretch marks! It's best to moisturize after you have a shower too, because hot water dries out your skin.

Good luck!

I went to the dollar store. Bought some coco butter. Every night i had my sons father rub my belly down. I dont know if it worked but I have 2 sons and no stretch marks. Well a couple but they are soo small and light. Actually my current b/f thinks they are sexy for having 2 sons. =)

You cannot prevent stretch marks. It has to do with genetics and your skins elasticity. For example look at the first response here. They said they used something and it worked for their sister too. Genetics. Sorry.

Lots of good lotion and excellent genes. There's really not much you can do about it. Your skin stretches or it doesn't.
My mom didn't get stretch marks either, with two children. But my stepmother and stepsister both got extensive stretch marks with one baby.

My mom has five girls, and got pretty huge with the last two, and not a stretch mark on her ( witch!) She didn't do a thing to prevent them, I think its just something your either prone to or your not, I wish I inherited those genes!

I haven't had any yet but my doctor said that there is really nothing you can do, its just going to happen or not. The creams and lotions do not go deep enough to reach were the strech marks start. They can reduce the apparence of them, vitamin e and coco butter they say.

I didn't get one stretch mark and used nothing on my skin. I did, however, make sure I got enough protein and Vitamin C because that helps with skin integrity. It is in the genes; my sister didn't get any either.
